Control & Reporting Manager

Assist in providing accounting guidance and advice to divisions and Corporate functions

Assist in analysis required to evaluate appropriate accounting treatment for complex transactions or new initiatives (such as financings, benefit and compensation programs, acquisitions and divestitures, due diligence and accounting, etc.)

Assist in monitoring standards setting process and implementing new accounting requirements

Prepare quarterly summary of expected impact of new accounting rules for KPMG prior to 10-Q/ 10-K being filed

Assist in preparing technical memos for new accounting pronouncements, new initiatives, etc.

Assist in preparing comment letters to the SEC, FASB, etc.

Assist in compiling the annual Audit Committee deck on Critical Accounting Policies and obtaining required information from the divisions

PepsiCo accounting policies

Assist in developing policies

Assist in maintaining policy website

Survey best practices

Lead process of enhancing current policy website by initiating the move to a more efficient network/portal

Financial Reporting and Related Financial Control

Assist in preparation of Critical Accounting Policy footnote in Form 10-K and Forms 10-Q for filing with SEC

Prepare Hyperion retrieve schedules used for disclosures

Prepare footnotes and related supporting workpapers

Prepare disclosure checklist for assigned disclosures

Maintain adequate internal controls for Section 404 certification over external reporting and disclosure

Assist in completion of year-end proxy disclosures by coordinating with the Compensation and Benefits and Legal departments and prepare supporting work papers for KPMG

System Economics and Business Fundamentals

Assist in review financial models used for impairment testing and acquisitions

Assist in peer group benchmarking and analyze and present results

Qualifications/Requirements      Education/Certification

Bachelor’s degree in accounting


Work experience

Minimum of 6 years of experience in accounting/auditing

Advancement to manager level in Big 4 accounting firm


High level of intelligence with high integrity

Strong communication skills – excellent writing and effective and persuasive verbal skills

Team player with strong interpersonal skills

Comfortable interacting with senior management

Able to work with lower levels

Flexible, creative, resourceful, self motivated with desire for self-improvement
