  • Create monthly analytical commentaries detailing financial results and business metrics.
  • Determine mappings for automated entries of data feeds from internal systems and electronic external bank information, in support of new business.
  • Prepare month-end account reconciliations.
  • Supervise staff accountants.
  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis.

Qualifications:

  • Certified Public Accountant, or in the process of becoming a CPA.
  • 3-7 years of experience.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, along with multitasking capabilities.
  • Self-starter and with the ability to work independently.
  • High level of attention to detail.

Other Specific Skills & Knowledge:

  • Prior experience in highly automated environment and/or comfort with technology.
  • Ability to evaluate current procedures and design and implement changes in order to streamline operations, while ensuring sufficient checks and balances.

Description

This position is responsible for complex accounting specific to employee benefit plans, to provide Management with definitive financial data and recommendations for use in accounting and financial reporting, as well as decision-making on major issues. This includes work on all aspects of the general ledger including monthly/quarterly book close, assisting with the preparation of financial statements and preparation of benefit plan financial statements. This position will be responsible for analyzing various balance sheet and income statement accounts and proposing and preparing journal entries while ensuring financial controls, including accuracy of financial data. Analyses of accounts will include comparisons of actual results against budget, most recent forecast and prior year actual. A focus of the analytics will be on the accounting of benefit plans, including health, pension, postretirement, and postemployment benefits and savings plan.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Account analysis – review and analysis of Balance Sheet and P&L account
  • Assist in preparation and documentation of Savings Plan Financial Statements
  • Assist in preparation of employee benefit budgets and forecasts
  • Monthly closing/journal entries/reconciliation process, variance analysis
  • Prepare schedules to satisfy SOX requirements
  • Assist in preparation of Employee Benefit footnote included in 10Q and 10K
  • Liaison with Human Resources and Treasury Departments, Third-Party Vendors, and Actuaries

Qualifications

  • Minimum 3 years work experience

We are seeking a Senior Technology Risk Manager to help manage our technology risk management function for the Americas region. The role provides a great opportunity to work closely with the Technology Management teams, Business Operational Risk Management teams and interfaces across several technology teams in the bank. We are seeking someone who can help drive and embed our Operational Risk Framework, including Risk Mitigation & Control Improvement, as well as providing strategic risk leadership across our technology projects and teams

About You
