Senior Financial Analyst-FP&A / North Jersey (Media/Entertainment)

This position’s primary responsibilities will be maintaining and updating the Company’s leverage and balance sheet forecast models as well as analyst model and assisting in the preparation/compilation of analyses surrounding the company’s monthly, quarterly and annual reporting packages to senior management and ownership groups for the Corporate Financial Planning and Analysis Department.

The individual will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:

Leverage and Balance Sheet forecast models

  • Update on a monthly basis with revised forecast
  • Update for new debt offerings as required throughout the year
  • Update with long range business plan on an annual basis
  • Summarize results generated by the leverage and balance sheet forecast model
  • Prepare GAAP financial forecasts for monthly/quarterly reporting packages
  • Prepare analysis of quarterly forecast to actual comparison

Monthly and Quarterly Analysis

  • Consolidate and prepare analysis related to monthly forecasts
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly forecast reporting packages that are provided to senior management and ownership groups
  • Assist in consolidation and preparation of  analytics commentary for Income Statement and Balance Sheet
  • Analysis and reporting of divisional forecasts
  • Preparation of Audit Lead Schedules
  • Support External Reporting Team with reports and analysis for quarterly financial closes
  • Assist in the preparation of CFO earnings script
  • Compile support and analysis for earnings call support book
  • Work closely with divisional FP&A departments
  • Ad Hoc Requests
  • Ownership data requests

Annual Analysis

  • Planning Process
  • Consolidation of divisional business plans
  • Analysis and reporting of divisional budgets
  • Tax Reports

Challenges include maintaining expertise in multiple reporting and analysis software packages, dealing with requests from multiple sources and setting priorities, meeting stringent deadlines on a monthly and quarterly basis.  In addition to providing ongoing support to the planning and analysis group, the candidate will participate in other mission critical financial projects as well as identifying continuous improvement opportunities.
Requirements:

B.S. in Accounting, CPA a plus

3-5 Years of Public/Private accounting experience

Working knowledge of Income Statements, Balance Sheets and Cash Flows

Prior experience working with debt instruments and debt structure a plus

Strong/Advanced Excel background including vlookups, pivot tables, macros, IF statements

Good working knowledge of Word and Powerpoint

Ability to prepare presentations for Senior Management

Financial Modeling

Knowledge of Oracle Financial Applications and Business Objects reporting tool a plus

Ability to work in a fast paced environment, handling multiple tasks

Good interpersonal skills and team player
